Adobe: the visitors arrive through AI, and the content is written by agents
Adobe reports that visits referred by generative AI rose 693.4% in US retail over the 2025 holidays, and in June 2026 it positioned itself as the agentic infrastructure layer for marketing.
What it says
The traffic. Adobe Digital Insights analysed more than one trillion visits to US retail sites over the 2025 holidays, as reported by eCommerceNews on 13 January 2026. Retail visits referred by generative AI rose 693.4% year on year; travel rose 539%, financial services 266%, technology and software 120%, and media and entertainment 92%. AI-referred visits converted 31% better than other sources. The data is US-only, covers one season, and uses Adobe’s own definition of AI-referred. We could not open Adobe’s own page, so these are Adobe’s numbers as a trade outlet reported them.
The agents. At Cannes Lions on 22 June 2026, Adobe described itself as the “agentic infrastructure layer” and announced work with WPP, Omnicom, Accenture Song and Code and Theory. The release gives no performance figures; the growth statements in it are Adobe’s own claims.
Our take
For a small brand the two signals meet in one place: your own website. If assistants send the visitors, what they quote from your site decides what customers hear about you. If agents write the content, something has to check it against what is true about the brand.
Cerevia starts from the brand’s own site for that reason. It reads the name, tagline, colours, logo and headings from the live page, and when a signal cannot be found it reports it as missing and asks, instead of guessing.
